Question Sudden no signal and fans loud

So I was playing rainbow six siege when out of no where, the screen went blue with the 'No signal' text and my fans started to get really loud. I restarted it and it's fine for now but do you know what couldve caused it?

Malware? Virus? Bad gfx card? PSU? Glitch in the game engine? Nothing that I can pinpoint without hands-on testing.

I'd still run a full virus scan and a Malwarebytes scan just to eliminate that possibility. Maybe a CCleaner run too in case it was a software conflict or registry error. After that maybe check for pgms running in the background when you game that can be disabled. If the issue still occurs, then you can probably assume it is hardware.

Running a memtest scan (one stick at a time for one full pass) is one I forgot to recommend you do. Might be a bad stick of RAM too.
