Sudden pc crashes when overclocking

Recently I've been getting crashes when ever I overclock my W3690 on my X58-USB3 board.
I used to be able to overclock perfectly fine and everything ran well and stable, even at 4.5ghz. For some reason, I can't overclock anymore. I'll go into my bios and change my clock multiplier to 4 or 4.2ghz, save it to my bios and boot. As soon as I hit the windows splash screen, I'll either get a BSOD or a freeze.
What do I do?

Have you tried increasing the cpu voltage manually in the BIOS? If the temperatures are ok, look into the applied voltages!

I fixed the problem with the crashing temporarily. But now when I'm moving files or something to another hard drive, it gives me multiple BSODS with different errors every time.

I wouldn't move files while the pc is crashing, they might get corrupt and lost forever
