[SOLVED] Suddenly 95 degrees GTX 100 after new mobo/cpu

I have an Asus Strix GTX1080 which used to stay around 72 celsius during 100% load. I recently got a new Aorus mobo, a 10900k, and a new PSU and now suddenly when at 100% load my GPU is hitting 95 celsius. This is in open air right now. What the hell happened? I can't figure out why this is going on.

Maybe your new higher performance CPU can keep the GPU busier.

Not a chance, nor would it make sense that it used to be at 100% load and is still 100% load now. Not to mention, 95 degrees is unheard of for an open air GPU.

Thermal paste completely dries up after a few years or so, killing off thermal transfer between the gpu's components and the heatsink.

Are you sure it was 72c right before u changed motherboard? Or was that just the last time you checked temps, 20c is pretty normal variation after dust buildup etc

Are the fans at 100% under 100% load?
