Hello, currently im having a memory crash issue. While im playing games sometimes it just crash and almost every app i opened while gaming crashed too. The last time i faced the crash when i was playing Ghost Wire Tokyo. Having those crashes since 3 days ago when i game or idle too long.

I already tried running virus scan, sfc /scannow or thr /onlinefix something. Also tried to check memory diagnostic and the result is fine no error. Updated the gpu driver but the result just the same. My pc takes about 30-40% of memory while idling and the temp is 60+ celcius. Never facing this kind problem before 3 days ago. Even ablr to play black desert and Dota 2 or other games smoothly. But i havent tried to.do those in my currrent situation so honestly idk what the prblem is..
I tried to find what takes memory the highest and the result is the MpMpeg.exe something and chrome which take 5% of memory each.

But the old days seems doing fine with the chome
Opened while i games

Plesse send help
My specs are :
Ryzen 5 3600
Ballistix RAM 16GB
MSI RTX 3060 TI OC V2
Asrock Steel Legend B450
AERO COOL LUX MODULAR 650M

I don't think you should worry about these errors. Basically they might happen in many systems. If Windows wants to tell you there's something very seriously wrong it will let you know in form of BSODs or other quite visible error messages.

That's not a lot of RAM use almost half of your 16GB. msedge.exe is part of Microsoft Edge browser I guess. You can check if it's in the 'right' location, it should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\ folder I think. If it's somewhere else and if you do a search for msedge and find the file in more than one location it might be malware.

Also if by crashes you mean restarts and such? Because from this:

I assumed your apps crash and close to desktop maybe. If this is...
Have you checked Event Viewer? What does Event Viewer show before or at the the time crashes happen? Any BSODs?

What changed 3 days ago that might have triggered these? Did you add hardware? Install software/drivers?
Thx for the reply.
Havent checked Event Viewer will do when the crash happen again. NO BSOD only a notice that i ran out of memory to run the game and out of memory in google chrome tabs or those Aw Snap thingy

If im not wrong 3 days ago i downloaded and installed WWE 2K22 and its pirated games. And then yesterday when im about to open device manager its locked . Then i installed malwarebytes and got rid of the viruses and can open those device manager and etc again

Well that might be the very reason. Software that was tampered with can have multiple and different kinds of payloads/exploits (malware), bad code if you like, bound to them.

In a situation like this if problem still persists after getting rid of the infected software and apparently getting rid of 'malware' with malwarebytes it most probably means the system is still infected.

I would format the OS/system drive and do a clean install of Windows and needed software from scratch and hope any other possible drives in the system are not infected. And of course stay away from pirated/cracked software in future.

NOTE: Fromatting the drive (any drive) would mean all data on it would be lost. Back up any personal irreplacable files (pictures, videos) before you clean install Windows, if you decide to do that.

I got this from Event Viewer :

The maximum file size for session "PerfDiag Logger" has been reached. As a result, events might be lost (not logged) to file "C:\Windows\system32\WDI\LogFiles\ShutdownPerfDiagLogger.etl". The maximum files size is currently set to 20971520 bytes.

Session "PerfDiag Logger" stopped due to the following error: 0xC0000188

Anything from this could be the problem ?

I assumed your apps crash and close to desktop maybe. If this is crashes and restarts and such you should look into hardware too as suggested by @Koekieezz above. I'm not sure about the quality of that PSU either.

i've been watching event viewer and i found this Archiever.exe which people said it is a miner that has been installed with the pirated games. already deleted it. Since its a mining app. any permanent damage to my gpu or pc ? and how can I check for apps like that on my pc again ?

Again as I said before, I would backup my personal files to other drive, totally wipe the system drive and do a clean install of Windows and all necessary apps/games and such.

I think it's not been long time since you had this problem (?) and I don't think it has seriously damaged anything. In general, you can't tell if all hardware is in good shape unless you do a clean install of Windows and run software and benchmarks and torture tests (while watching so the CPU GPU temps don't get too high which won't if their cooling is adequate and working properly) and see how your hardware and system behave. However, these test won't be able to tell if hardware is 100% OK but if there's problems it would show.

To prevent malware infections in futre you should avoid clicking on suspicious links, installing pirated software/games that have been tampered with and maybe install something like Malwarebytes by Microsoft on your new Windows. The basic version is free and you can purchase a premium license which adds features. If you keep that up to date software like that if you scan something before installing it it would be flagged and you'd know.

First step in preventing malware infections really is the user, to practice safe browsing and computing habits; like avoiding code that has been tampered with.
