Suddenly games started to lag?

So I've had this PC for about a month or two now.. everything was working perfectly (PUBG at 70-80fps on ultra..)

Now it sort of just stutters and drops to 30-45 frames at some points and this all happened ALL OF A SUDDEN. I ran the full system scam with Avast Premier and cleaned the system from Malware too. I didn't change any settings and it all just started to lag. Any help?

Motherboard: ASUS PRIME Z270-K, DDR4, SATA3, USB-C, HDMI, M.2, LGA1151 ATX

CPU: INTEL Core i5-7600K 3,8/4,2GHz 6MB LGA1151

GPU: GTX1060, 6GB GDDR5, PCI-E 3.0 DUAL-GTX1060-O6G

Check temps, might be a problems with thermal paste or dust. Also check if you did not have windows updates in between or any update (drivers etc) in general.
Also check if you have 20% free space on all drives (should not matter, but... ).

Is it just PUBG? If so maybe a recent update messed up performance?

What has changed?
Has windows pushed a bad driver on you?
Have you lost your overclock?
Are there thermal limits, causing throttling?
What is your cpu cooler? Perhaps it is not working properly.

So it's on BF1, PUBG even Fortnite.. it works 60+ when I look at a city for comparison in PUBG it just drops to like 40-50. The only problem is that performance has decreased. Temps seem normal for CPU and GPU, haven't had anything overclocked, I have a Hyper 212x cooler.

Performance does not change all by itself.
Look for something that might have changed.
