Suddenly Lagging laptop

Hey there!
Well since a week or two my laptop its an AsusK50IJ, started to lagg very hard. The games i play on it are WoW and LoL, Normally it could handly LoL on a steady 30-35 fps at lowest settings with a normal resolution.
It also played WoW with a steady framerate. But since a week or two i can't even gat 10 fps on WoW or a steady 20fps on LoL. I have tried alot of things including disabling windows aero, this did nothing, i still had exactly the same fps. so can anybody please help me? And yes i know the laptop is outdated and pretty bad. ill leave the specs below

Cpu: Pentium dual core 2.2GHz T4400
Grapics: Intel GMA 4500M
Ram: 3gb DDR2 667MHz
Hdd: 320Gb
OS: Windows 7 Home premium 64Bit

Probably thermal throttling.
That's when your CPU overheats, then the motherboard clocks it to lower speed so it can cool down.

It could be age. How long have you had this laptop? If it is older than a year then the internals maybe starting to slow down as it get worn out easily when it is playing games.

I do not think that is the problem because if i start up the pc and instantly go to any of those games, I get this lagg. Anyways thanks for your reply

Well ive got it for 3-4 Years now and since i got it i played at least 4 hours a day on it. It worked fine for the past years though. And if this is the problem, is there anything i can do about it? Tnx for the reply

The simplest thing you can do is buy a laptop cooler. This should give you an increase in fps. If that doesn't work, a clean may be good. This means going through all your pc drives and getting rid of junk that may have collected. Also if you can physically clean it if you can. Otherwise not much, a new battery/charger may work.
