Question Suddenly no signal to monitor when starting PC.

Hey all,

When I turn on my PC all my fans spin and everything seems as it always did but I get no signal on my monitor.

I've tried using a different monitor, using a different HDMI cable, resetting CMOS, removing my gpu and putting it into another port, using a different power cable, switching RAM around. Sadly I can't test for onboard graphics.

It was working fine last night and I've changed nothing. I can't go into BIOS as I have no display. My keyboard and mouse both light up.

Is it possible the fault lays with my GPU or is it fair to assume it's my PSU or motherboard.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Edit: I switched out the power cable for my PC and used the one I had in my PC on my old monitor. When I unplugged it from my monitor, my monitor's light stayed on for a bit with nothing connected until I pushed the power button when it flashed. Could a faulty power cable have caused my PSU to malfunction?

My specs are:

CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU XFX AMD Radeon 570 rs 8gb
RAM 16 GB DDR4
PSU Mars 1000w
Motherboard Asus Prime B450m-k II

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I would try and drop the GPU into a donor system and see if you're able to get display from said discrete GPU. Might want to try and work with another PSU and see if the issue persists.

You don't just point a finger towards a part, you go through a process of elimination.

try a different monitor/TV

that´s a normal effect till all power is drained from the monitors PSU

Sadly I don't have that option right now. I've ordered a new PSU and motherboard hoping that one of them is at fault.

I do have a new issue now where my PC starts up, shuts off, then boots on its own again without shutting in case that somehow narrows it down.
