I know there are some similar threads but none fix my problem that's why i'm making another one. So about a month ago my system (Windows 10) was running perfectly well and suddenly a week ago everything started lagging mostly games. I played games on minimal settings and i had above 30 FPS for sure, some games even 60. I play games like Dirty Bomb, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed 3, Dishonored 1, Subnautica, The Crew, GTA 5 and a few more but all of them ran at 30+ FPS. And now i'm getting like 17 FPS and sudden lag spikes. But then I opened up Autodesk Inventor and it was lagging. Even videos on Chrome started lagging and no it's not from my internet. Sometimes even if i have only one program or game open windows tells me "Your computer is running low on memory" but when i check in Task Manager it says i have around 2 gb of unused memory. Could this happen because of a memory leak? I can say I know quite a bit about computers and i tried everything but nothing helps. I scanned for malware with Malwarebytes, also for other unwanted threats with Avira Free Antivirus. I cleaned my PC with CCleaner and I manually cleaned things that CCleaner doesn't clean.

PC Specs:
CPU: Inter Quad Core Q8300 2.5GHz overclocked at 3GHZ
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GT 730 (Bought it a few months back)
PSU: Gembird PSU10-12
RAM: 4GB I think they are from Kingston
MOBO: ASUS P5P43TD
HDD: 2TB Western Digital i don't know which one exactly (i bought it about 6 months ago)

I know this isn't a powerful system and i plan on upgrading in the future but for now i'm stuck with this. Any help is appreciated and thank you up front.

Check your CPU temperature while gaming. It should never exceed 70C, preferably it should stay under 65C at all times - otherwise you get exactly what you see - sudden performance drops (CPU overheats, then suddenly reduces the operating frequency in order to stay cool - and that causes lags).

My CPU temperature is from 60 to 80 degrees Celsius but that's never been an issue. Once i got it to about 90 degrees and it still ran perfectly. I'm always monitoring temperatures.

It's the stock cooler I think. Deepcool GAMMAXX 200T 54.2 CFM CPU Cooler

I finally fixed it. I'm posting the answer here in case someone needs it. Apparently I had low virtual memory assigned. I checked the "Automatically manage paging file size for all drive" and now everything works fine. Go to Control Panel -> System, on the left hand side you will find Advanced System Settings. Click it and go to the Performance Settings. After that the Advanced Tab and click change. You can assign your paging file size there or let windows handle it.

I usually like stuff to be done manually not automatically by Windows so i set it up but it was too low and i thought lets try this and it worked. I will leave it on automatic.
