I'm building my first pc and need a little help with parts. The parts I'm sure about are:
i7 8700k
16 GB ddr4 3000 MHz
Msi gtx 1080 gaming x
Corsair h100i CPU cooler
3 TB Seagate barracuda hdd
Samsung 960 evo nvme 250gb ssd

Pls feel free to suggest any changes.

Solution
If the main interest in this system is gaming, I would go with a SATA based SSD, with larger capacity, instead. Crucial MX300 or 500 are good drives for the money. Games generally do not load all that much faster between NVME and SATA ssd's. Not enough to justify the cost. You get better price/gb, and you can put more games on the larger SSD. Or if you absolutely want NVME, and 5yr warranty, western digital black NVME drives are considerably cheaper than Samsung. Samsung drives are great, I have an 850 evo in my wife's laptop, but they are bit overpriced, imo. I caught mine on sale.

What do you mean exploding?

I have a GTX 1080 FTW2 and it's a monster.
