Hey guys so I am planning to do an upgrade of my computer casing , MY MOTHERBOARD IS FULL ATX , my budget is 200$ suggest me a casing that is that price or less , I currently have Corsair carbide 200R (Windowed) with red LED strip powered by molex connector , it has served me well but unfortunately I want to upgrade and I feel like every new build deserves a new casing some people have moded their Corsair carbide 200R to make it look better but I don't think its worth spending money on it because that's like converting a mannual gear car into automatic but at the end of the day it won't have any resale value it won't sell in a higher price , instead of spending money on it to make it look better it would be a better choice to save up money and just buy a new casing I even haven't removed my old Corei5 sticker off this casing cause I plan on placing the new Corei7 sticker on a new casing 😛 after buying a new casing it would be wise to buy a full modular PSU , PSU shroud will help hide the PSU + some connectors , HDD shroud will help hide the HDD , the Full modular PSU will give the option not to attach anyway unnecessary cables ,

so since tempered glass and RGB are a thing now days I want a casing that's side panel is fully windowed , front tempered glass too , fans that are RGB , rat holes with grommets , comes with PSU shroud and HDD shroud though I am aware its easy to make a PSU shroud but I'd rather buy a casing that comes with one than to make one myself

BTW GUYS MY MOBO IS ASUS STRIX Z270F IT COMES WITH TWO RGB HEADERS SO I GOT SOME QUESTIONS THOSE RGB HEADERS CAN BE USED TO POWER SUPPORTED RGB STRIPS AND BE USED WITH AURA SYNC SOFTWARE??? AND THOSE RGB HEADERS WORK AS AN IR RECEIVER + POWER???? AND ACCORDING TO ASUS WEBSITE THE MOBO SUPPORTS 5050 RGB LED strips SO WILL ANY 5050 RGB STRIPS WORK WITH IT? EVEN OFF BRAND ONES OR NEED TO SPECIFIC ONES????

Currently I am interested in three casings it would be good to know yall thoughts on them , Corsair 570x RGB , Corsair 460x RGB and MasterBox Lite 5 RGB , the Corsair 570x RGB is a bit taller and wide compared to Corsair 460x RGB but according to the reviews the 570x PSU SHROUD isn't removable and has a hole at the front PLUS the other con being it has tempered glass on all four sides even that would show cables visible on back side of the motherboard tray so in that case the Corsair 460X RGB would be better

I am aware that temper glass is fingerprint magnet but I am not worried about that because I only open my PC once or twice in a month to blow out dust and I have microfiber cloths and Isopropyl alcohol

Btw is the tempered glass on the casings plastic or glass????

Are the RGB fans on the Corsair 460x RGB , Aura sync compatible ????

I am also planning to upgrade my GPU to an Asus strix version RGB so I can Aura sync my RGB lightening should I upgrade to a GTX 1070ti ??? or wait for next generation GPUs???

Will Corsair H100i V2 liquid cooling fit in Corsair 460x RGB ???

I am aware that my PSU isn't bad and Seasonic is like the best PSU maker it even makes XFX and other brands PSUs but the reason I want to get a new one is for full modular and 80+ gold , I'd go with Seasonic , XFX or EVGA's 80+ gold SLI/Crossfire certified ECO IDLE PSU

After getting the new casing and psu I plan on getting the following components

Corsair K95 RGB mechanical keyboard
Corsair H100i V2 liquid cooling
Corsair Gaming MM800 RGB Polaris Mouse Pad
corsair m65 pro rgb mouse

My current specs are

7th gen Corei7 7700K 4.2ghz
Coolermaster Hyper D92 HSF
Asus z270F
2x8 ( 16gb) 2400mhz ddr4 Corsair vengeance lpx
1tb Segate barcuda 7200rpm
240gb Corsair LE SSD (SATA III)
Gigabyte GTX 1060 6gb windforce 2x
Seasonic 80+ bronze ( semi modular) 620watts psu
Corsair Carbide 200R (Windowed) casing with three Corsair 120mm AF fans plus one 140mm Xigamatech fan

The Corsair RMx/RMi series are both excellent choices. And Corsair sells sleeved cables for the RM series PSUs on Corsair.com ... they may not be quite as nice as the CableMod ones but they are less expensive. What your friend got weren't extensions, they were full-on replacements. If you don't need them, extensions will only give you cable management nightmares ... all of that original cable has to go somewhere.

Corsair Link is the same software that you use to control the Corsair RGB system. Using Link, you'll be able to monitor power usage, efficiency, temperature and fan speeds. And yes, the RM750 has a zero RPM fan mode. There are plenty of reviews out there that answer your questions, like this one at Tom's Hardware...

All I need help is with my questions and let me worry about where to get it from I can either purchase online or get it from the Corsair distributor in my city so that's not the problem.

And I am aware that these casings have two variants only the RGB variant has RGB fans not the standard one

1.Are the fans on Corsair 460x and 570x RGB variants Aura sync compatible ?
2. The RGB headers on my motherboard Asus strix z270F are these headers used as an IR receiver + to provide power to the compatible Aura sync RGB strips??? i.e cablemod ones?
3. Is the window on these casings tempered glass or plexi ? if so is it 5mm???
4. Will Corsair H100i V2 liquid cooling fit in Corsair 460x/570x easily ???

I am aware that 570x is a bit taller and wider compared to 460x which can be nice for cable management and an AIO , it's Corsair's logos have lights while those are its pros

it also has cons like it has tempered glass on all four sides while having tempered on three sides can be good but it has tempered glass on behind the motherboard's tray too and that's where all your PSU'S cables go to through the rat holes and they'll be visible and for that you'll need really good cable management because otherwise it would look bad and since it has tempered glass on all four sides wouldn't that case airflow problems

I read in many reviews that the PSU shroud in the 570x isn't removable and is open at the front it needs at least a cover you can bolt on it shows the ugly wires behind it.

while the PSU shroud and HDD shroud in Corsair 460x are removable which can be a good thing

Can you suggest me RGB strips of cablemod that are Aura sync compatible???

1) No, none of the Corsair RGB fans are Asus Aura compatible. They have their own control system using Link.
2) The RGB headers on your motherboard are only to power/control RGB strips (like the CableMod strips). Most of these are single color, non-addressable RGB strips (RGB LED 5050) although newer boards do sometimes have a header for addressable RGB LEDs.
3) Well, it's not called tempered plexi.
4) Yes. You can mount on the front or on top.

Personally, I would not recommend using Aura Sync. I've had it and have torn all of them out and replaced them with 8 Corsair RGB LED strips. I also have a total of 11 Corsair RGB Fans so all of my RGB is sync'd.

1. No but you would need a separate controller for those. You don't necessarily have to use Aura sync - there's much better out there like NZXT and Corsair.
2. Yeah you could use those.
3. No it's real glass - which should be handled with the same caution you would use to handle real glass with.
4. Yes but you're better off getting a 280mm radiator like the H115i or the Kraken X62. Although I think the 570X can handle up to a 360mm radiator if I'm not mistaken.

Is Corsair link a software?

What do you mean by addressable and non addressable RGB strips?
Yeah now I know come windowed casings are plexi ( plastic ) and some are tempered glass

So the Corsair RGB LED strips you have what are those powered by? molex? the only reason I wanted to use my RGB headers was so that they can get power off the motherboard and I wouldn't need to have the molex cable in my casing cause you know the less cables the better

By controller you meant fan controller but doesn't the Corsair 460x RGB already comes with a fan controller https://prnt.sc/i618sq <----- see

I wouldn't mind using Corsair or some other brand's RGB LED strip but the main reason I was considering a cablemod RGB LED strip was cause the RGB header on my motherboard will power it so thus I wouldn't need molex cable so that will save space in my casing

The glass is 4mm right?

Though I am getting an AIO cooler but for the looks and temps not for overclocking at least not yet anyway but I'll have a look at those

By controller I meant RGB controller - the one integrated on the motherboard. If you use anything other than approved peripherals you would be looking at adding a second controller. The only adapter that is huge for RGB is the one from NZXT. So if you're going for aesthetics then I would not get a Hue+. But the Corsair adapter is very minimalist and can be easily hidden.

I don't know about the exact dimensions on the glass but I would assume the glass on the 570X is similar to the glass on my S340 Elite.

Corsair Link is the software that you would use to control the cooler and any Corsair RGB items that you have. The Corsair RGB LEDs are powered by a SATA connector; nothing so grotesque as molex.

Addressable RGB allow you to independently address each LED and set its color independent of the rest of the strip. Most of the headers on the Aura board not not addressable - the entire strip is the same color. It's neat when you're coming from no RGB at all ... but I found it boring after a time. With the Corsair RGB, you can have different colors for every LED on the strip or fan.

And yes, windowed cases often have plexi. But they aren't listed as tempered glass. If the case says tempered glass, it's going to be glass. (If it's not, you'll see it in the reviews and forums pretty quickly).

So it would be a better option for me to get the Corsair RGB LED strips since all of my components like mouse , mousepad , keyboard , headset , fans and Casing are going to be Corsair even the liquid cooling so with Corsair link software I'd be able to control them , Yeah my friend said the same thing when I asked him he said how can glass be plastic? So the Corsair RGB LED strips will come with a RGB hub controller that will be powered by SATA right? btw how many Corsair RGB LED strips come in the box? 1 or 2? how much big are they 60cm? 2foot? and where to put the RGB LED strips??? if you can show me your build pictures that would be helpful

I am glad to know that molex cable would be out of my casing , molex are obsolete anyway back in the past they were used to power IDE hard drives and these days they're used for adapters in case one person doesn't have or doesn't have enough PCI-E connectors or wants to power fans off a 3pin to molex adapter and are used to power LED strips too

The reason I had to be sure about plastic/Glass was because this is the first time I am getting a windowed casing the current Casing Corsair Carbide 200R that I have wasn't originally windowed last year in February I went to a metal shop and did measurements with a marker and told him to cut it with a Dremel , then went to a Glass shop and told him to put a 5mm tempered glass with silicon , then I left it to dry on my house roof for about 3hours , then I bought some RED LED strips from a car shop and had a friend solder a Molex connector onto it 😛

I have decided to go with Corsair RGB LED strips since all my components like like mouse , mousepad , keyboard , headset , fans and Casing are going to be Corsair even the liquid cooling so I am going to RGB everything together , I am aware that only the block of the Corsair liquid cooling is RGB and not the fans but fans can be replaced with RGB ones so that's not a problem , Are any Graphic card's RGB compatible with Corsair link???

I have decided to go with Corsair 460x RGB over the Corsair 570x RGB because of the cons of the 570x while 570x may be a bit taller and wider compared to 460x while those might it pros but because of the cons

'' like it has tempered glass on all four sides while having tempered on three sides can be good but it has tempered glass on behind the motherboard's tray too and that's where all your PSU'S cables go to through the rat holes and they'll be visible and for that you'll need really good cable management because otherwise it would look bad and since it has tempered glass on all four sides wouldn't that case airflow problems ''

And ''I read in many reviews that the PSU shroud in the 570x isn't removable and is open at the front it needs at least a cover you can bolt on it shows the ugly wires behind it.''

So to make my PC look good I'd need the following things right a new casing , full modular psu , RGB led strips , cable management and PSU Extensions , Can you tell me about extensions? like I know they're for the looks but can they be used on any PSU's connectors? or individual ones need to be made/bought for specific ones???

And I have another question this may be off topic but since you're a moderator you might have some information regarding this before I made this thread/forum on Tomshardware I made it on overclock.net a few mins later I came there to check for replies and it says ''You have been banned for the following reason:
No reason was specified.

Date the ban will be lifted: Never'' like wtf why would an admin ban my IP I did nothing wrong and didn't wrote anything that would violate the site's rules , I used a VPN to access the site again and contacted them but no one has replied till now

btw can mods ban? or admins do that? its really a shame they should of gave me a warning or told me what was wrong 🙁

On the software ...
The "external" Corsair accessories use CUE, the "internal" accessories use Link. Corsair has demoed a unified tool to control them all but it hasn't been released and there's no word on if or when it will be released. I do strongly suspect it's a "when" not an "if".

Each pack of strips comes with 4 RGB strips. Each one has 10 LEDs on it and are 410mm in length. A lot of questions are answered in a FAQ on the Corsair forum; see http://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=173880. This also has diagrams to show you how the different components connect together.

I'm not sure that you'll need extensions for good cable management with the 570x. The case isn't that big. For comparison, I have an Enthoo Primo, which is a monster case ... and have no cable extensions for my HX1200i. But from what I understand, most, if not all, extensions plug into the end of the power cable. The connections here, unlike the connections to the PSU itself, are defined by the various standards (ATX, PCIe, SATA) so an extension should work with any cable. The only time you need to be careful is when you get a cable that plugs directly into the PSU itself; even PSUs from the same manufacturer can have different pinouts on the PSU side. If you are going with a Corsair PSU, they do have a cable compatibility cross-reference at http://www.corsair.com/en-us/landing/psu-cable-compatibility.

Finally ... I agree with you; I hate molex adapters. I have one is my system - for an NZXT internal USB hub and it annoys me. For that, I use a SATA to molex adapter so that I didn't have to add the molex cable for my PSU for just that one component.

I am not going for Corsair 570x RGB instead I've decided to get the Corsair 460x RGB because of the cons of the 570x while 570x may be a bit taller and wider compared to 460x while those might it pros but because of the cons http://prntscr.com/i6eqye <------ that I mentioned in this screenshot

And I was asking about extensions not for cable management but for the looks , a friend of mine has something similar to extensions they look like extensions but instead they go inside the PSU itself he said they're called ''Cable Mod full cable set'' he has a Corsair 750rmx and he bought this set/kit for the same money as the PSU itself costs

There is Corsair 750rmx and Corsair RM750i I googled the difference and all I get is that the RM750i has Corsair link but what idk is what will that do with the psu?

I wanted to get the Corsair 750rmx as its full modular and 80+ Gold but according to the reviews its made by CWT so its not that good , same as Thermal take's Smart SE series are made by CWT , btw is Corsair 750rmx fan is ECO idle? meaning it doesn't spins till the PSU start getting heated up ???

is Corsair 750rmx Crossfire/SLI certified? not that I want to use SLI or overclock my PC I am just asking

Personally, I like to be able to monitor and tweak everything possible ... which is why I have an HXi PSU rather than an HX.

Since all my components Keyboard , mouse , mousepad , headset , Liquid cooling , RGB LED strips and Casing are going to be of Corsair I think getting a Corsair rm750i PSU would be a great choice as I'll be able to monitor both my internal Corsair stuff as well as the PSU with it , once I get the new casing and the PSU I'll buy those corsair sleeved cables thanks for the help man 😀

Not that I'm aware of. Most generally use their own software. RGB on graphics cards is usually very minimal.

And I have another question this may be off topic but since you're a moderator you might have some information regarding this before I made this thread/forum on Tomshardware I made it on overclock.net a few mins later I came there to check for replies and it says ''You have been banned for the following reason:

Can't help you there. We can only control what the moderators do here, we can't control what the moderators on other forums do. If you think your ban was unjustified then contact their site administrators.

Well the good news is I have a Dynamic IP address and I contacted my ISP and they changed it 😀

Just wanted to let you know that Corsair has released that software to Sync the external and internal components together currently its in beta its known as iCUE
