Suggest me a GPU for upto 2012 games

Hi,
I want to buy a GPU for my desktop for games upto 2012 (Farcry 3)
My pc specs are:
Processor Intel Pentium Dual Core E5800 @3.2 ghz
RAM: 2 gb DDR3
cabinet 220v-4A input
win 7 ultimate
current graphics Intel G41 Express chipset

I was thinking about buying MSI NVIDIA GTS 450 1 gb, will it be enough or should I think about something else?

my budget is around U.S$100 or 60 British pounds

Power = Current * Voltage

So you've got

12V * 19A = 228 watts.

According to this:

your CPU can eat up to 65 watts. Let's brush off 50 more watts because the PSU is old. That leaves us around 100 watts to work with.

You never want to approach the limit, because if you do, the power supply unit can die and take whole system with it if it isn't properly protected (and cheap power supply units tend not to, and that's what your unit is. I can tell that from lack of brand).

So yea, I wouldn't put a more power hungry than a 60 watt card into your PC without...

The Radeon 7750 is probably your best bet. The 7750 beats the 450 in both power consumption and performance. Also the 450 is outdated, I'm running one currently and about to replace it with a 7850. My GTS 450 runs most games on medium settings on 1600x900, Metro 2033 on low. Another plus about the 7750 is that it can run off the power from the PCI slot. the 7750 should be fine for Far Cry 3 at low settings. However, with the next round of consoles about to be released, I'm not too sure how long that 7750 would last.

The 650 is a good card, but its power consumption is around 70 watts and requires a 6 pin power connector, compared to the 7750 that has a power consumption of around 50 watts. I would say play it safe and stick to the 7750 for I believe that would already be pushing your power supply.
However, there is another option. The 650 comes with a free copy of assassins III and you could always sell that and buy a more potent power supply to support the 650 and other future video cards.

I just compared prices in country (India), mainly shipping charges.
and both GTX 650 and Radeon 7750 are running out of my for a bit.
Is Gt 640 (65W) a good replacement as I compared it with Radeon 7750 and it was comparable.
 
What is your power supply unit? Please state model and brand.

HD 7750 isn't really a good buy - it's only worth it if your power supply sucks. Otherwise, HD 7770 costs the same and is around 20% faster.

GTX 650 is a terrible buy - it's slow and expensive. And consumes power similar to HD 7770.

which one is better among Saphire Radeon HD7750 and ASUS Radeon HD7750


I really want to confirm if this GPU won't simply burn my PSU and Motherboard along with it. I really don't want to take any chances. I read on some thread that 12v - 17A is just barely enough but still a bit risky. And mine is 12V- 19A only a little above it.
