hello.. i am from INDIA ,, please suggest me best cheapest all in one printer ,, ALSO low cost ink or catridge. please give me choices to select. i am not much regular user of printer but when i do ink shouldnt dry up should be taken into account. i like to photo print , xerox. scan, and print some office documents like excel , word..

Unfortunately mate manufacturers seem to have gone back to combined colour carts.
Which are very expensive.

If you can track down an older canon mg5450 then buy one.
They are scarce now but have seperate colours , & 2 seperate black tanks , compatibles are dirt cheap & they never clog up.

I wouldn't ever buy an Epson again.

Had 2 artisan models (PX in the UK)

They were very expensive , offered incredible print quality BUT both clogged heads completely in under 2 years of use - because the print head holes are so tiny.
I had to physically bin them because repair wasn't cost effective.

If you're using them every day then they're probably fine , for occasional use it was a constant & painful process of systematically cleaning heads & wasting huge amounts of ink at least once a week

Also epsons's printer report a 1/5 full official cartridge as empty and waste a lot of ink when doing their "cleaning routines".

I agree with the Epson verdict - - avoid that brand.

Printers with separate carts for each colour are definitely available (at least from Canon anyway) but it's a feature usually reserved for the more expensive models (eg those capable of high photo-quality output). Cheaper models tend to use 3-in-1 carts which are expensive to run because you're effectively throwing ink away when one colour runs out.

I have to tell you that inkjet printers don't like not being used regularly and often. They are definitely a bad choice for only occasional use. But in my experience, Canon printers are the brand least likely to suffer from ink-blockages caused by irregular use. I went away for 12 days, and when I returned my Canon MG7700 was still in full working order - - no blockages.

Try that with an Epson printer and you'd end up throwing it in the nearest skip (which is exactly what I had to do).

agreed, laser is likely the way to go. toner is dry. sure, cheap models are only b&w and even color models do not have the clarity of inkjets but the cost per print is lower and avoid the ink drying issue.

any inkjet, no matter the brand, will suffer from ink drying up if you do not use it for a period of time. period.

Totally agree with all said ink cartridges will dry up after a certain period. So the best choice is the laser printer. But based on your requirement I can suggest you hp Deskjet 2132 all in one printer. It has print, scan, copy, with instant ink cartridges. HP said instant ink cartridges can help you save 50 % of ink. So if you choose an inkjet try to use printer frequently to avoid ink dry up.
