I think with a better processor you should be able to achieve atleast 20-30fps in most games on medium settings, in some games on High Settings. Its just that "our" graphics card is only 64bit instead of 128bit or higher but that should not make that much of a difference.

my specs are: Athlon X4 860K 4x4GHz, 16GB Ram, 4GB Gainward GT730 GDDR5, 450w psu, a 1tb HDD and 64bit Windows 7 Ultimate. As stated in my first Topic, I get stable 40-50FPS and sometimes even 60FPS in GTA5 on High Settings.
4GB of GDDR5 for a GT 730? Wow, talk about gimmick marketing, most of the time 1GB would be enough for it.

Look, your CPU is kind of OK ( a little old but not too bad), but the GT 730 is only really useful for older titles and e-sport type games such as CSGO, Dota 2, Rocket League etc. and even then you may need to turn the settings down to medium or use lower resolutions.

sri27597 I happen to own a GT 640, which is approximately 50% more powerful than a GT 730. You "might" be able to play Overwatch if you set the resolution to 1280 x 720 and lower the settings to low. A friend of mine would play Overwatch with the GT 730 (and i7-3770k / 8GB DDR3) at the resolution, and would get 35-50 FPS. I have another friend who plays Overwatch on a i7-4790 with no graphics card, and she gets 30 FPS. I'm not sure if she's playing at 720 or 1080p.

What I find very interesting is that the integrated graphics on an Intel coffee lake CPU, e.g. i3-8100, is 58% faster than your GT 730: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GeForce-GT-730-vs-Intel-UHD-Graphics-630-Desktop-Coffee-Lake/m12582vsm356797

My friend with the i7-4790 is using the HD 4600 integrated graphics. This is how it compares to your card.

Addendum: One game that may play on that card is Borderlands 2. Your GPU is between the minimum and recommended specs. Why don't you purchase on Steam during the next sale? If it doesn't work out then you can simply initiate a steam refund; that goes for any game on Steam.

I would play classic games and esports games. Start at 720p at lowest settings then experiment with either 1080p or higher settings. Each game will be different, so you'll need to invest some time to find the best combinations of settings and resolution.

Stay away from newer games like GTA V, Battlefield 1, and PUBG. Take advantage of free weekend games on Steam and demos of games. You'll find out quick how new a game can be before you can't play it.
