I want a good system that will also last.

Approximate Purchase Date: March 2012

Budget Range: $400 - $500

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Casual Gaming (Skyrim, Future Diablo III, possibly Mass Effect), Internet, Video Streaming, Home office use and for graduate classes, some web design

Parts Not Required: Monitor, speaker system and OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Prefer Newegg but willing to take suggestions from others

Country: Georgia, USA

Parts Preferences: Ones that will last longer

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Monitor Resolution: 1024x768

Additional Comments: I have an older Sapphire X850XT from a previous system but am unsure if it better to just get a new one?

I was considering buying a barebones kit from Tigerdirect.com but have heard it is better to buy individual components. Would prefer any suggestions you might have for builds over barebone kits.

If you are going to buy barebones, get it at newegg. You get newer parts from their shellshocker barebones kits, not leftovers. They had both an amd and Intel barebones last week for under $300 each. Both included 500gb hardrives.

Also, would it be better for me to try and spend a little more to purchase a video card with 256-bits versus one with 128-bit?

Will this motherboard and PSU support an i5 or i7 if I decided to spend the extra cash for it or decided to upgrade in the future?

You can change with this CORSAIR Builder Series CX600 V2 600W http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028 50$ after rebates. This will support a CPU upgrade and a more powerfull video card. Is 10$ more than Corsair 500w and the same price after rebates.
