Suggestion for a PSU?

Looking for some suggestion on PSU for the following Hardware:

MSI X99A SLI PLUS LGA 2011-v3

Corsair Hydro Series H110i GTX 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W BX80648I75930K Desktop Processor

MSI Radeon R9 390 DirectX 12 R9 390 GAMING 8G 8GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Also, looking to add a second video card down the road of the same model too.

For dual R9 390 GPUs and an overclocked LGA2011 setup, look toward an 850w or larger PSU. Stick with XFX, Seasonic, the EVGA G2 lineup, or filter through the Tier 1 or Tier 2 list.

I was looking into getting this EVGA 220-P2-1600-X1 80 PLUS Platinum 1600 W

You think this will do the trick. I know it may seem over kill, but with these new GPU now a days...etc.

Sure, but that is massive overkill. The trend for GPUs has been more powerful cards being developed, but without increasing power demands. 1000w leaves plenty of headroom for a second R9 390 and other growth, or just about any dual GPU setup.
