My RTX 2070 has decided to act up - no image to the display at all. I've tried different cables, switching from DP to HDMI, and nothing.

It's not the display, because my laptop is connected to it now.

I'm looking for suggestions for something I can use on a temporary basis until my 2070 is back. I'm looking at an RX 580, 5500XT and 1660/1660 Super. I'm trying to stay under $250, since I can put this in my little brother's computer when I don't need it any longer.

I use a 27in 1080p 144hz display. I know I'm not going to get extremely high frame rates, but that's OK.

NOt sure if it matters, but I've got a 2700x at 4.3 ghz, and 16gb ddr4 3000.

Any suggestions would be a big help.

Thanks

I would avoid RX5500xt. RX580 would be quite a downgrade.

The regular 1660 isn't a great value compared to the super. The 1660 super should fulfill your needs decently and it would be my choice for under $250.

If you can stretch to $270 or so, the AMD RX5600xt would be closest to the performance of your 2070 but its closer to $270. It performs about 3% better than an RTX 2060

I hadn't thought about the 5600xt, I just knew that the 5700xt was more than I wanted to spend.

I'm not too worried about the downgrade, as long as I can hit 60-80 fps on games like AC Odyssey, GTA V, Witcher 3, I'm happy
