Hello,
I want to buy an external HDD 2TB and have come down to
1. Seagate backup plus slim
2. WD Elements
3. WD my passport ultra

The seagate costs me ₹6000($93) while the my passport ultra is ₹8000($124) and elements is ₹6500($101). My friend told that his experience with seagate is poor as he always has very poor life with them. Hence I'm confused. The ultra is kind of expensive for me but is in the choice only for its backup software.

My requirements:
1. 2TB drive
2. Must be able to do incremental backup the folders I select by either scheduling it or whenever I press a button.

I'm even ok if there are good 3rd party free software which could do with the backup for me. Can someone please suggest me which one to buy?

there is not assurance any hard drive will work longer than another, I have had Seagate, Toshiba, WD , and many other brands, and I have had failures in all of them over the years... if you have a hard drive lying around, I would use that and put it in a case yourself and use that as a backup it is what I do, older 5400 laptop drives are cheap and cases can be had for usb3 for less than 15$. but if it is a single source solution, then your choices are very valid.
