Hello guys,
I am considering to buy a NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050Ti 4GB OC GDDR5 graphics card.

My PC Specs are:
Mother Board: ASUS P8H61-M LX3
Processor: 2nd Gen INTEL CORE i3-2120@3.3GHz
Ram: 8gb DDR3 Ram
HDD: 500gb
PSU: 450W Generic PSU
Currently I have a R7 240 1GD5 installed which i am considering to replace with above.

Will this card support my mother board and overall specs of my pc??
Also, will this card fit in my Mini ATX case? or i have to buy the mini version of this card?
and also if there's any other better card you can suggest in same price, even if its an AMD card, that'll be good.

Yes the card will work on your motherboard and as for the Case
i think it will fit on it but you can check the dimensions and in case if you have any doubt you can go for the mini version but still the normal one will also fit in your case

I've Checked the specs of my mother board on this site
https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8H61M_LX3_PLUS/specifications/

It shows i have only pcie 2.0 slots.
can you review and tell me if its okay?

Yes, the card will work fine even on 2.0, you can play most games with 60fps 1080p high settings, but not sure for the cpu, maybe it will bottleneck a little..

I have a 1366x768 display so i don't think much effect will be there.

Can't do anything about the cpu. don't have enough money to get new cpu.
and by CPU, are you referring to Processor or my whole system?

cpu = processor

PC = personal computer

its silly to use cpu when you mean the whole pc

cool, just be aware that you will not get the full gpu performance at that resolution until you do indeed upgrade the cpu

Thanks, and yeah i just need the max performance i can get on 1366x768 res. high is enough for me. if you know any other graphics card which will fully comply with my specs in lower price range, you can tell me.

Greetings guys,

I am considering a similar upgrade. Like montysingh21 I also have an older generation CPU and Mobo and am considering a GTX 10-series card.
I've heard, however, that sometimes there can be compatibility issues relating to BIOS.

Should this be something to be concerned about?

A friend of mine with older gen system, maybe older than yours ( it was i5 650 and hp mobo ) we took 4gb more ram and a gt 1030. No issues at all, everything worked fine, even on pcie gen 1 and 10th series graphics.

I have 2x 1050ti`s 4gb asus strixes, using them with i3 6100 and i7 6700k, performance differences.... 5-10 fps depends from the game, im using the 1050ti for 1080p gaming and for 4k i use 1080ti. So for 1366x768 the 1050ti will be awsome, if u ask me - BUY the card its a little beast.

yes

you may need to make sure motherboard bios is up to date, and even then it may not work

make sure the place you buy from has a good return policy

Can you suggest a graphic card that can fully comply with my system specs at a lower price range?
