Im building computer for "soft" gaming, dont need max details in just release games.

Currently I have GTX1060 3GB by MSI, but im not sure about processor.
Im thinking between i3-6100 and i5-6400. I'm worried, if the i3 wont be killer for GPU.

Another question about MB, currently have B150 chipset and 8GB. If in future will need upgrade RAM, will it be problem for both MB or CPU? Or will be Z170 much better for this configuration?

well ...
you are correct ... pricing sucks.
one question:
any particular reason you picked that motherboard when you have Z170 at the same price https://www.czc.cz/msi-z170-a-pro-intel-z170/178848/produkt
or those that are significantly cheaper :

or even cheaper:

I'm not sure what games you are going to play, but for modern AAA titles the i5 is bare minimum. The CPU does not affect graphics settings (you are covered well with GTX 1060) but it does affect the FPS. Every frame that GPU processes first goes through CPU. The CPU tells the GPU what to draw and in additions calculates things like AI or object...

There is pretty much problem with budget. currently with whole build I'm around 700$. with 6400 I'm around 780$. and 6500 is even more expensive. There is an option of downgrading GPU and upgrading CPU, but with GPU, not sure which one should be right. price with 6400 can be OK, but not perfect. 6500 is probably out of choice, but between 6100 and 6400 I wasnt sure, what the i5 (except 4 cores) brings to the table.
And will stick with B150, because overclocking is not going to happen.

that sounds a bit high.
Here is one with 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD, i5-6500, 16GB of ram and GTX 1060 for 733

Oh, I forget one thing :( I'm buying in Czech Republic, f.e. cost of i5-6500 here is around $240. and every other component has the raise similar. Only WD Blue's price is same at here. Sorry for confusion.

The CPU does not affect graphics settings (you are covered well with GTX 1060) but it does affect the FPS. Every frame that GPU processes first goes through CPU. The CPU tells the GPU what to draw and in additions calculates things like AI or object interaction in game. So for example BF1 will run very poorly on i3. There are many games that behave same way.
So If you pick a cheaper MB, you can get the i5-6400 for another 1000.
It is important in the long run and also make the system "balanced". The i3 will be blocking the GTX 1060 to show it's full potential in many games. Pairing i3 with GTX 1060 is kinda wasting money as it will not be utilized.

I had cheaper, but without usb 3.1, but for some reason (idk why) I skipped micro-ATX format of motherboards. Asus one looks better for me (number of usb), but both of them are probably better than what I have. The Z170 one I skipped, because of usb 3.1.

And thats why I wrote here, especialy the last paragraph you wrote, it looks "unbalanced" for me, but the 6100 looks great at stats, so wasnt sure. So probably I try to convince to raise the budget (PC is not for me). Thanks for your help, it really helped me a lot.
