Question Suggestions for 144hz

So I’ve been gaming on a 144 hz monitor without g sync for 2-3 years now. I just recently heard about g sync a couple of months back,

So my question is , is g sync worth it, is it worth it to upgrade from my 144 no g sync to 144 g sync. From 60hz to 144hz no doubt, but idk if there’s much difference.

I have the budget, and I currently game on 1080p ( I only play competitive shooters )

Ryzen 5 2600x
Rtx 2060 evga
B40 aorus pro
16 gb ram

If you're FPS are stable around 144, then you probably don't need to upgrade from no Gsync to w/ Gsync.
Gsync is only really useful if your framerate drop well below your monitors hz.

I have a 100hz monitor, and I get around 100fps with my 1080ti, so I turn Gsync off because I'm close to my monitors maximum hz.
