Suggestions for <$200 17 inch monitor

Updating a system for my sister in law. Need to keep the price way down (2 kids in college and another just starting). Her monitor is about shot. Would like to get her into a 17 inch monitor and need some suggestions. I have seen them as low as $140 - cannot remember the brand. Obviously, need a multisync monitor with as big a viewable area as possible and as small a dot pitch as possible. Any ideas.

You might want to take a look at the KDSs; those are fairly cheap.
