I guess it just comes down to whether or not you need to have to be able to
carry your camera around in a pocket or if you don't mind carrying a bag.
Personally, I don't find a bag slung over my shoulder to be any hassle. And
remember, the original poster was looking for something with a high optical
zoom. Not sure of any pocket models that have a 10x optical zoom.
