Suggestions for a good yet cheep headset for commentaries?!

Hey guys,

I am a YouTuber who uploads gaming commentaries and I upload gaming let's plays. I currently use a Turtle Beach X12 but I was looking to move away from the whole gaming headset with a microphone attached. Supposedly using a pair of ear bud headphones and a desktop microphone is much better but I am unsure of this. If anyone can suggest a good but cheep desktop microphone OR gaming headset with a microphone would be greatly appreciated and if someone can confirm about ear buds and desktop microphones being better that a headset with the mic attached?

Ear bud headphones are nowhere near an over the ear headset. I would be glad to help you find one if you have me a budget.

Ear bud headphones are nowhere near an over the ear headset. I would be glad to help you find one if you have me a budget.

Yep the gamecom is a five star headset for sure. Here's some cheaper ones I found that are still decent.
