Suggestions for a Portable Laptop

So I am in the market for a 13"-15" Portable laptop with 4-8 hours of true battery life and my budget is $1000. I am going to use the laptop to store photos, videos, watching movies, photoshop, and illustrator and will need a DVD ROM/Writer. I want to play games but the settings would be set to low or medium. This is not an necessity but it would be nice to have the option to play some games. I live is the US and I am open to ordering online.

That looks like a good deal, but I think I get the most bang for the buck with the TOSHIBA Satellite M645-S4055. I hope someone reviews it soon because I would like to make a purchase within the next 7 days.

The Satellite M645-S4055 is not a bad notebook by any means, but in my opinion it's a bit overpriced for what it offers.
