suggestions for new rig?

I have pretty much narrowed the components down for my new rig. I'm not sure how the 2 rigs compare. I need it to last around 2 years. Which of these rigs would give me best performance for games with 1280x1024 with 4/8 filtering? I can get both rigs for about $750

First option:
Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe
MSI 6800 256mb SLI ready
A64 3200

Second option:
Abit av8 3rd-eye or Epox 9NDA3J
Gigabyte 6800gt "GV-N68T256DH"
A64 3200

Another option I can do is save $50 and with the processor and go with A64 3000 then I can use that extra money to get x800xt.

Anyone have any suggestions which would be better for gaming and last me for 2 years? Should I change anything out of these options? Thanks in advance for any help.

I would go with the Nvidia chipset over the Via 800Pro. I'll take rig #1 with an A64-3000 Winchester and an X800XT.

Have you seen the stuff about the X800XL? If they actually are available at the end of the month, and at msrp, they may be worth waiting for.

yeah, I had a x800xl on pre-order from ATI and then they said it will be at least 30 days before their next shipment goes out. they said the first shipment was 500 cards but that went out this week. The next shipment won't be for another 30 days or more so I cancelled my order.
