Suggestions for what to upgrade?

I purchased a desktop last year and its slow. Badddd slow. I would like to speed it up but am unsure what would help most. Some details:

Uses: Lightroom editing, light internet surfing.
Symptoms: Lightroom often stalls, or takes way too long to render the next photo.

(I also installed a fast SSD for working photos)
Upgrading budget: 500-700 CND

Any advice would be very helpful!

I agree on the pre-built opinion. This is my business partners computer and she insisted on a pre-built. Haha. (Currently building my own gaming PC)
I'll grab some more RAM for sure. It's on windows 10. A graphics card really won't do much to help with photo editing (Lightroom doesn't properly use graphics cards at the moment and so i leave that setting off) Any other suggestions?

Hmm...Here are a few tips to tweak the shit out any system:
1) Task Manager > Startup > Disable all unnecessary programs on startup
2) Control Panel > System > Advanced system settings > Visual effects and etc.: Turn off any effects that you don't need (shadows under windows, ToolTips, etc.)
3) Control Panel > Programs > Windows features > Disable Internet Explorer 11
4) Registry Editor > HKEY_CLASSES_LOCAL_MACHINE > SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Control > Session Manager > Memory Management > PrefetchParameters > Turn off Superfetch and Prefetch by setting their binary values to 0
5) Uninstall any bloatware that came with the system
6) Control Panel > Power Options > Set power to High Performance
7) Search on google for "askvg windows registry tweaks master list" and download the registry tweaks
8) Right click on your desktop > Graphics Properties > Power > Change it to high performance
9) Defragment your HDD if you're still using it
10) Windows key + r > type in msconfig > Click boot and change timeout box value to 0 seconds

Could be slow also because of thermal throttling. If the PC is running to hot get yourself some case fans.

CPU temp is peaking at 40C. Shouldn't be a problem right now.

I guess you can handle a CPU upgrade. Maybe get an i7 4790 non K? I'm not too familiar with Haswell i5s, sorry 🙁
