Suggestions need on I7 build (my first build)

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: within couple of weeks, BUDGET RANGE: about $1000-1200.

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: photo/video editing, programming, surfing the internet, watching movies, gaming.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers and OS. I'll be using the new build with my existing Dell 24" 2405 monitor at 1920x1200, the system will be running Windows 7 64-bit.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: I'm open to suggestion here as I'm new to building systems myself, but I've used newegg, zipzoomfly and amazon for hdd & memory upgrades before.

PARTS PREFERENCES: Intel CPU I7

OVERCLOCKING: Yes, SLI OR CROSSFIRE: not immediately but would like to keep the option open.

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1200

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: hdd & memory expandability is important to me, I'd like to able to expand to 4+ internal HDD & 16GB+ RAM in the future.

I'd also like to plan for upgrade to i9 after its price comes down, so I'm almost locked into X58.

I plan to fit the computer case under my desktop which has depth about 17-18 inches, so a smaller case is preferred but I can deal with a 20-21 inch case if needed.

This is going to be my first build but I do have decent knowledge of computer hardware & software.

My current list came from suggestion from "Why_Me" sometime ago on a similar price range build, (thank you, "Why_Me"), the price has been updated. Any suggestions are welcome, thanks for your time.

Youngster, thanks a lot for the pointer for the case + PSU combo as well as RAM.

I also noticed a i7 CPU + 6GB of OCZ RAM combo, I'll probably go with that.

They haven't always gotten good reviews in the past. That PC & P you chose is tried and proven. I think I would stick with it.

Thanks stevensl2, but I usually don't use hot products when they come out, I'll wait until they become more stable and less pricey.
