Hello,
i got myself the hd6870 and i can say its a huge leap from gts250 i had and after reading the forums i think i might wanna crossfire the hd6870 by getting a used one for second. the reason for this is so that i can play future games at 60fps on atlest high-ultra. however my problem is this:
mobo : MSI 870a-g54
cpu : Phenom II X4 945 @ 3.0ghz
psu : Gigabyte 550 superb
ram : 8gb Kingston (2+2+4) @667mhz each
Option 1 : i change processor and psu for the best am3 processor for gaming staying at stock clock. i know nothing about OC.
Option 2 : i change mobo processor and psu for intel i5 that is good enough to run the 6870s in games also at stock clock.
if performance is more or less the same i prefer option 1 since its cheaper.
my question is will option 1 even work? and if so how much difference it would be compared to option 2.
Thank you in advance
