Thanks to everyone for their input so far, it has been a learning experience. I wanted to post the original build idea with the current revisions to show the evolution and to ask for input on if my reasoning for the changes is sound:
New items from Newegg:
[strike]Cooler Master HAF 912 Blue Edition - High Air Flow Mid Tower Computer Case ~ $60
[/strike]
CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower Computer Case with Carrying Handle and Windowed Side Panel - Black ~ $90 ($65 with rebate)
Reason: Better matches motherboard red scheme for appearances sake
[strike]ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ~ $200[/strike]
ASUS MAXIMUS VI HERO LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard ~ $200
Reason: Increased overclock performance and features at the expense of on board wireless
Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics BX80646I74770K ~ $340
Reason: Chose to not go with the i5 4670K to save about $100, instead I am hoping the hyper threading of the i7 will help with multitasking such as running a game on one screen and other apps on another. Also, future console ports from eight core cpu consoles may make use of the the threading as well.
CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10 ~ $180
Reason: Staying with the 16GB instead of the 8GB to aid in multitasking and make use of the motherboards Ram Disk feature.
[strike]SAPPHIRE Vapor-X 100364VXBF4L Radeon R9 270X 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support OC BOOST Video Card w/BF4 Coupon ~ $250[/strike]
EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support w/ EVGA ACX Cooler Video Card ~ $250
Reason: I chose to step up one tier on Tom's GPU chart for the same price instead of two tiers to the GTX 770 to save about $100
SAMSUNG 840 EVO 250GB MZ-7TE250KW 2.5' TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) With Desktop Bundle Kit ~ $190
Reason: Still love this SSD
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit - OEM ~ $140
Reason: Still need it for 32GB Ram maximum on the board, plus I can't stand the Windows 8 interface.
[strike]Total $1,360[/strike]
Total $1,390
Reuse from current build:

[strike]***Reuse if still a viable card and not order the new card listed above[/strike]
CORSAIR HX Series HX850 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS GOLD Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready***

Ok, tear it apart.
Any comments, criticisms, or suggestions are welcome.
As always, thanks for your time.
