Hi, I am new to these forums, I do not know much about upgrading computers. I had my current one custom built for me, I went with the best of what I could afford at the time.

I'd like to upgrade my graphics card at some point in the next year, I am in no rush to get the best of the best, nor do I care for keeping up to date with the latest of the latest.

If there is anything else that I should upgrade, besides the case, I quite like the case. I'd like to know if I should get more fans or what else I would need to upgrade to a higher spec graphics card and which card would be best for what I need.

I don't buy games right at release, I wait a year before they're on sale, but I'd like to be able to play a lot of the games coming out in the next couple years at high+ settings.

Here is what I have, let me know if I need to provide more info:

Everything in your PC is perfectly fine and nothing needs to be upgraded. As for a graphics card, I'd say get the best one you can afford. Everyone seems to be raving about the GTX 970 but it is an expensive graphics card. I'd say if you can afford it then go for it. A decent graphics card if you can't afford it would be something like the R9 280/R9 270X w/ 4GB GDDR5 VRAM or a GTX 760. If you can't afford those then the GTX 750Ti or R7 260X are good choices.

I agree that a GTX 970 would be a good fit for your build, you don't need to change anything else in your build. If the GTX 970 is too expensive, have a look at an R9 280 or 280X.
