Suggestions to cut cost on non-gaming system

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I know I don't "Need" a super fast PC for what I will use it for. I want to try SSD for fist time. I'll use it for my boot drive and a 500GB drive for my stuff. Suggestions on cheaper but good parts? Anything wrong with these choices? Will more memory make a noticeable improvement if I went with 8 GB? In January I built a PC for my wife with almost the same parts list except for SSD and was very happy with the way it turned out. Thanks for any suggestions.

You'll want a larger SSD to house all your programs. None of them take up too much space, but at least 60GB.

For a non gaming PC ? ditch the SSD and buy a Samsung Spin Point F3 HDD (1TB) - SSD's are great and have excellent read / write speeds, but are of very limited capacity. Your chouce of the WD Caviar series HDD is not a bad one, but the spin points from Samsung are much quicker

I suggest you look at a 32nm clarkdale cpu like the i3-530@2.93 or the i5-650@3.2 and H55 motherboard. It has integrated graphics.

You want a good SSD that has enough capacity to hold all your programs and a bit more. 64gb, or 80gb.
