Hi all,

So summer is here and is getting so hot outside(over 92) and my bedroom gets most of the sun. Right now one of the vents in my room is not working for some reason(ill have to look at the duct work soon). But it gets hot in this room 80+ degrees and the rest of the house stays around 74. My computer cpu temps are getting up to 50c. And im not comfortable with it. I have 1 front 120mm fan blowing in, a 120 mm side fan blowing in. 1 120mm on back blowing out. 2 80 mm fans on the back top blowing out. My cpu sits right under thos top 80mms. should thos top 80mm pull hot air out or blow cool air in. And when I say my cpu sits under them, I mean like super super close. Close to the back exhaust fan as well. So then cpu fan is blowing in on heat sink, then top and back fans blow out the heat. Or those 80s blowing in. Or reverse the cpu fan and have the top and rear blowing out as well. I replaced the thermal compound with silver based. The cpu is an fx6300 with a 965BE cpu heatsink with the copper base and heat pipes(replaced the crap stock heat sink with this one work a lot better). Or should I just do a trial and error with the fans and see what I can come up with. Im open if anyone has any ideas.

I agree with Wolfshadw, a window ac unit can be gotten for fairly low cost. Does increase the electric bill some but no amount of cooling fans for the pc are going to overcome the issue which is higher ambient room temps. 30 fans blowing in the case are just going to move 80f air around faster, not cooler. It could be a decent temporary solution until you get the vent fixed.
Get a Window AC unit just for your room.
