Just got my adapter and installed all drivers no problem. It is picking up my neighbors wifi but not mine. Adapter is capable of wpa2-psk which is the encryption method of my router. It's picking up my neighbors wpa-psk connection so I switched mine to wpa- psk as well to see if that made a difference, but it's still not seeing the wifi. The usb adapter and router are both 'n' wireless. I've gone into device manager and unistalled device and clicked 'scan for hardware changes' to reinstall adapter. Ive tried updating driver software as well. M pc is running win 7 ultimate. I tried device in my laptop as well by disabling internal wireless and loading drivers for this device but still only showing neighbors wifi. Tried manually adding network but still not seeing it. Any other ideas?

That is because channel 12 and 13 are not legal to use in all countries and if you get a mix of devices designed for various countries you can get different configurations.

Your best bet is to run a program called INSSIDER which will let you see all the routers around you and what channels they are using. It makes selecting the channel somewhat easier.......of course lately everyone know about this programs and keeps changing so it is a ongoing battle to find the channel with the least interference.
Hi, thanks Dizzy. Tried that already. Tried just about everything under the sun. But you know what?, i finally got it working. Turns out, and I'm not sure why, but I changed the channel on the router and that did the trick. I had changed it previously because my wifi was so slow on my ipad and someone had suggested changing the channel from 'auto' to a specific number. I just kept changing the channels till I got the highest d/l speed. It was set at 13. As soon as I changed it to any number below 11, the adapter would recognize the wifi. Not sure why, but it's fixed anyway.....two days and about 8 hours of frustration later!
