Question Sun Ultra 40M2 does not boot - does not see the monitor

Sun Ultra 40 M2. It is an x86 workstation running Windows 7.

The fans turn on but the monitor does not get turned on, it's in the sleep mode. As if it was disconnected.

My first thought was the GPU so I swapped the video card - twice - to no avail.

the keyboard/mouse are connected.

I also reset the BIOS by installing a fresh CR2032 battery. Also to no avail.

One suggestion I found is that it's the power supply, is that feasible?

Before the fans used to turn on, and then slow down, they just run on high without slowing down.
