Hey, do you guys know of any really cheap graphics cards that can be used for gaming that require no external power connectors?
Looking for used. Has to be DX11 compatible and at least 1gb VRAM please.
Low profile will work too.
Thanks!

Used prices will differ from time to time and location to location. A 7750 is more than 10x the performance of a 6450/7450 and still require no external power. Those were office gpus 10 years ago. They could hardly play 10 year old games at 720p/30. Of course there's a limited selection but there are gpus that will do 720/30 on fortnite for the same price. Gpus prices don't go much lower as it becomes a waste of time and/or not worth the shipping cost.

I'm guessing you didn't look at the hierarchy chart. R7 250 is on the same tier as 7750. No matter how much a 1030 is better, budget is a concern. A r7 250 will be close to 720/60.

Here are a couple that I can think of :
AMD Radeon HD6450 1GB (DELL Low Profile will work to, just no DB-15 VGA Connector)
AMD Radeon HD7450 1GB or 2GB (Same as above)
GeForce GT 420
PNY NVIDIA Quadro P400

None of these are particularly powerful GPUs, but for resolutions around 720p, they should be OK for some games without being choppy or tearing. You'll just have to play them to see...

Poster said GPU had to be : CHEAP and NO EXTERNAL POWER...
Those two combinations leave VERY LITTLE SELECTION!!
Looking at 4+ year old, mostly used, more-than-likely Low Profile, PCIe business machine GPUs for that price. o_O

What about like an r7 250 or 250x. Would those be good If k can find them cheap?
I honestly didn't expect that many answers so I’m just trying to look for things I haven’t thought of the first replied with the HD 7000 cards was good because I had never thought of those yet.

If that makes sense.
