Hi,

I played this game for about 4 years (RTCW MP Demo) 😉

It seems people with very fast pc's (2400 GHZ) can do damage faster than
people with slow pc's (500 GHZ).

Anybody else noticing this ?

Another explanation could be aimbots etc...

Bye,
Skybuck.

Since the demo there have been a number of patches, including fixes for
synchronisation issues between clients and servers to try and reduce the
benefit of a faster connection or faster PC. It was also possible to adjust
your rate setting to something really low or really high to benefit from
bugs, but the default PB settings in RTCW stop that.

Oh, and if I catch you pulling that name stunt on my server you'll get a
permanent PB ban. I guess I should count my lucky stars that you don't have
the retail version of the game.

Well you happen to have any links or proof of this ?

Saves me another searching session with google... otherwise I might search
for it sometime... too tired now anyway 😉

Though I do not expect it too turn up much or maybe that's where I am wrong
😉

Bye,
Skybuck.

Check the readme files that come with the patches. www.castlewolfenstein.com
is the official site, but the patches are everywhere. Googling you'd
probably find copies of the readme. But if you'd bothered trying, you'd have
known that instead of making vague suggestions that I'm lying.

It does sometimes happen, that people running verry fast comp, say AMD 64
4000+ with ATI x800 etc. get FPS above 333, and then a funny thing occurs.
The hitboxes can shift a little. So you shoot at someone's head, but the
hitbox is behind him, so you don't hit him...

Strange, but a fact. Seen it myself last week with newest version of ET-Pro.
