Super Slow Boot and computer being slow. APU/WIN 10 issue?

Good Morning,
I'm hoping to get some help as my issue tends to be one of the most commonly searched issues with computers,but not related to the typical responce.

History
- I got some new RAM, DDR3 2400, and installed it into my computer. The computer didn't post and no matter what I did, it didn't want to work so I chalked it up to compatibility issues.
- I put my old RAM back in and when I booted, windows had an update
- When the update completed, I typed in my password like normal then it took Windows 5 minutes to get to the desktop, another 15 minutes to load all of its programs and even after, it continued to be slow (Took 2-3 minutes to right-click desktop)
- I researched a bit online and read somewhere that it had something to do with the graphics drivers and Win10
- I updated to the latest and greatest AMD APU Drivers, 15.30.1025, and restarted; no luck and the computer is still slow
- I booted into safemode with networking and everything was functioning correctly
- I uninstalled all drivers via a utility and restarted; my system was then working perfectly (without the display driver)
- I grabbed the previous display driver version from AMD, 15.7. and installed it. Bam, everything is working perfect again and I was set
- Fast forward to today, I want to try my new ram one more time (as I updated BIOS)
- Tried RAM, didn't post
- Installed in old RAM, and the slow boot/computer issue happens again
- I booted into safe mode again and it was working good
- I utilized the uninstall tool again to uninstall all graphic drivers; computer restarts out of safemode and works good, san graphics drivers
- I attempt to resinstall the graphics drivers and get an error of 'Detection driver not found'
- I deleted all folders for AMD and did the uninstall wizard again, back in safemood working great
- Attempted to install drivers again, got the same error
- Trying a different tactic, I did a system restore from a previous point, 3 days ago, and after a couple of restarts, I seem to be back to normal.

Any insight what's going on?

Mobo: A88X-PRO
Proc: AMD A10-7850K Kaveri Quad-Core 3.7 GHz Socket FM2+ 95W AD785KXBJABOX
Ram: 16 Gigs, DDR3 1600

well, obviously there is a ram issue if the system won't even boot with the new ram, you're not mixing and matching the ram right?

the ASUS A88X-PRO only support ram speeds of 2133, it does allow overclocking that 2133 up to 2400, but it doesn't natively support ram that speed out of the box.

THank you for the insight on the DDR3 2400 Ram. I have it ready to ship back to New Egg and i'll give the 2133 version a shot. In regards to your concern, I did not mix/match ram. I only had the new sticks in there by themselves. In regards to the slow comp issue, I was utilizing my old ram again so I don't believe it was a ram issue due to it working previously without issues and the fact that the computer functioned perfectly in safemode. I'm worried there's a windows update pending that will cause my system to breakdown again so i'm going to turn off automatic update just to be safe.

Make sure ya get mobo compatible memory from the mobo manufacturer.

Thanks TbsToy; I think we resolved the Ram issue, but not sure on a cause for the slow computer issue.

Define slow boot. Post, boot, to desk top which OS when did ya install the OS?

Windows takes 3 days to jockey around behind the scene and settle. MS has said so many times, especially after major updates. After major updates with 10 all three machines, the big one here, X99, avartar, takes 75 sec + from blue light to signed on at the desktop. after it settles it returns to a normal 40 sec. time.
At least according to Tinkerbell the IT Kitty. An increase in the amount of memory won't help whit this part but will help with other functionality.

Thank you for checking on this. In regards to your question regarding times, Post and getting to log-in screen is fast as normal, maybe 20-40 seconds. Once I type in my password, it'll stick on the loading screen 2-3 minutes, have a black screen for 5-8 minutes, then my wallpaperloads. 1-2 minutes for Icons, then another 5-10 minutes for all of my progams (like anti-virus and what not, 5 total). Once all that's odne loading, the entire system is slow. I can click start and it'll pop up 1 minute later, same thing with right clicking.

that usually means one of the optional MS services, or one of the non-essential user installed programs is mucking things up. up through the login screen, that's all basically windows loading, if it can't get to the login screen or the login screen takes forever to load, it's often an issue with windows itself. when you get past the login screen it starts being an issue with user installed programs, viruses or other errors.

What's your level of computer literacy? if you feel comfortable enough i can point you to a utility that might straighten you out a bit. you can try it out, it's called the Tweeking.com Windows All-in-One Repair Tool. It works with any version of windows, and if you follow the instructions, and do all the optional steps you can fix most problems with windows yourself.

Oh boy. May have said this before and have other places. Some of these issues, if they don't resolve themselves, sorta become beyond the scope of a help forum . What bothers me is your to signed on time. Hardware issues are kinda ruled out here. Would start looking at excessive tool bars, slow load times of software and being out of date. Excessive start up programs initializing and maybe just too much installed and excessive software. Infections too. Try Malwarebytes, SuperAntispyware and WinPatrol, all free versions. Maybe removing everything except just basic software and working back up one at a time to see what slows things down. Do a fresh OS install and start over. Have done this many times. Yup, a lot of work but ya learn a lot as ya go.
