Super slow speed on RAID 0

I have a Alienware m17x r3 and I'm using AHCI mode and not RAID which came originaly.

So for a long time I have been using a SSD on RAID 1 since RAID 0 is superslow. when trasfering a file from RAID 1 to RAID 0 it will have a fast speed the first 800MB and the drop down to a couple of KBs.

For a long time I haven't been using anything in RAID 0 since it's to slow. No I want to try it again.
I took out the SSD from RAID 1 and took in a HDD in RAID 0. I installed windows on it. in took for ever, and the speed is so slow. The HDD is in good condition, since I have tried it on other computers.

I haven't tried a SSD on RAID 0 for a long time, but if I remember corectly I got an error when installing windows on it.
I want to have full speed on RAID 0, and have a storage drive on the RAID 1.

What could cause a such a problem? Chould I set it to raid mode from AHCI?

A raid0 and a raid 1 would require a minimum of 4 drives; two for each raid type. The R3 only has 2 drive slots so what you want to do is not possible.

You CAN have a single SSD and a storage HDD but you would do this by having the sata ports in AHCI mode. This is the best option for you anyways since a modern SSD is much faster than your sata ports.

I'm sorry I wrote RAID 0. What I meant is Module 0 and Module 1 (Slot 0 and 1)
I run my laptop in AHCI mode. I use my SSD in module 1 since Module 0 has issues with SATA 3 and will downgrade the SSD to SATA 2. I have removed the HDD since it was really slow. for some reason when I use a SSD and HDD the HDD will run really slow the first 800MB and drop to a point where the transfer will never complete. I have tried everything, but nothing is working. I have tried the same HDD in another laptop and it gave the speed that was expected. Now I just run a 500GB SSD and use a external HDD for movies etc.

Samsung SSD 840 EVO 500GB
I have a Alienware M17xr3

I don't have alot of capacity on my SSD and a second internal HDD would be great, if it only worked as it should.

You didn't have to run something for the sexond HDD to work?
i can't figured it out why the first 800MB goes in a 30MB7s speed and the rest drops down.
It's not possible for me to trasfer files larger then 800 MB/s.

And it takes only a second when it shows that half of the content has been trasfered, when it's not possible.
When I put the HDD in another laptop, you could see that the file was trasfered it a normal speed.
but in my PC it shows that half of the content has been trasfered in a second but then it stops.

if that made any sence.
