Apart for "logic displays" on Astromech droids (Star Wars), what use-cases are there for LED matrices this size?

Anywhere you wanted to put some colored lights but they were either too large or didn't have enough resolution. I, for one, am glad people are constantly creating innumerable variations of all these hobby boards. It makes things much easier when I have an idea for a project and then can find something that's much closer to what I wanted.
