I have a thermaltake case and the fans that came with it are awsome. On max they make very little noise. i was wondering if there was a way to run the fans faster than they were made to run?

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2,200 MHz 10x220
ASUS K8V SE Deluxe
1024 MB Kingston PC3500
Sapphire ATI R9800 Pro 128 MB
80 GB Seagate ATA133
80 GB Hitachi SATA

If you add more voltage I think that it would increase the speed. The problem that you may run into is that at a certain speed they will begin to vibrate or put off a humming sound.

I dont know what its called, but there is a noise that doesnt have anything to do with the vibration of the frame or fan itself. Arent you talking about one of those rubber things that is basically made like a gasket?

Gotcha

Your correct in that it will stop the vibration. The humming that I was referring to is something different all together. Its a phenominon that occurs due to the way that the baldes beign to twist at very high speeds.
