My supermicro PDSML-LN1+ motherboard makes 2 continuous beeps. It will not show me a bios screen. The fans spin normally. Even my gpu fan is spinning. One high pich beep and one low. I've tried changing around a few of the ram sticks. You can listen to the sound here: https://vocaroo.com/i/s06UvFY6LfP2

The 2 pins of JPR1 are not shorted from the beginning. Shorting them does nothing. Shorting them from startup, and after startup. Is this what your saying? not 100% sure.. the other 2 sets of pins that are shorted are,JPG1 - VGA EN (NOT VGA DIS) & J9 - EN BEEPER. Ive tried a seperate power supply, same issue. Could it be do to RAM? im using 800Mhz when it says 667mhz or under is required. I know that most motherboards just downclock the RAM, is this not the case? is it doing this because of the RAM issue?

Shorting JPR1 once is all you need, if it is going to help, which it does not. You can check your RAM settings in the BIOS, but using faster rated 800Mhz RAM should not be a problem, as you say, it will just run at a slower speed. I'm not sure why your computer is beeping, it's not anything i recognize.

well had a Radeon HD 7470 in it, and it was giving me some weird other code, like 1 long, 3 short, then the 2 short. like really weird, ill get an audio of it, ill get one for both. After taking the gpu out, using just the integrated graphics, thats when i got the 1-2

In your original post you had a link to the sound of 2 continuous beeps from your motherboard. I believe your motherboard has a Phoenix BIOS. In the link i gave to computer beep codes, the last Phoenix BIOS beep code is a two-tone siren. That must be what you were hearing.

two-tone siren = Low CPU fan speed, voltage level issue.

the bios has to be "AWARD BIOS": Repeated beeps alternating high & low frequency - Issue with the processor (CPU), possibly damaged. (I changed my CPU and the siren went away and i was met with actual beep codes)
1 long 3 short with a video card in. Working from there i was able to get everything up and going. Thank you anyways though!!

Can someone mark this as solved?
