Which PSU is better?

I like the Supernova because of the 10 year warranty and paint design. I think it's pretty underrated right now because of how fairly new it is to the market. I've heard mixed reviews about the Seasonic but PC enthusiasts say it's a must for all builds. What do you guys think? This is one of the last components I need for my build. Also do any of these two have flat cables?

A look at my build if you're interested: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1hPiD
By the way, I realize both can be considered overkill on my system but I'm playing it safe in case I plan on SLI in the future, and I don't want to keep my PSU on high load when it's in use because that pretty much decreases its efficiency. My build is primarily for gaming/video editing/rendering.

I have had quite the luck with Seasonic built PSUs, the Supernova is also a very good PSU. I honestly would take the X1050, but both are very good PSUs with high ratings from various sources. In the end, it is up to you to choose, if you really feel you like the Supernova, go for it. The whole "You need a Seasonic" thing has gone out of hand and there are plenty of good, non-Seasonic PSUs out there.

I think the G2 versions are what just came out. I could be wrong.

Yeah, that was one of the reviews I read. Just wanted to get some opinions of other members because I can pretty get both of the psu's at a similar price. Is the Supernova 4th generation certified?

In that price range, it is definitely Haswell certified, even older PSUs will work with Haswell fine.

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story&reid=340 Refer to this review for the EVGA Supernova 1000G2. This was his first review of the same exact PSU platform and you might be surprised. The "you need a Seasonic" thing has gone a bit too far, but in the end, I think it is up to look preferences.
