I have trawled the Gigabyte website but canno find confirmation of support
for the new AMD Winchester 939 pin processors!
Can anyone shed any light on which models are compatable please?

Yes I found that but there is no mention of the Winchester 90nm only the
Newcastle 130nm wafer...

I have the same question with no answer from Gigabyte's Web site,
perhaps I could mail them with this question.
If anyone knows please tell it.

I've just put together a system with a Winchester 3000+ and a K8NF-9
Nforce4 motherboard with no problem (but there's almost no info about
this board on the Gigabyte website).

It may not the right, or final answer, but as far as I'm aware any 939
socket board can run the Winchester core CPU's - same pin count, same
physical size etc. As with any *new* CPU I guess some boards may require a
BIOS upgrade.

Feel free to correct me ;o)

I think you are probably correct - now all I have to do is to find one -
often the retailers do not identify their processors - I have found the
3500+ but with the newcastle wafer!

My GA-K8NS-Ultra 939 is running on a 3000 90nm Winchester core just fine
with no problems.
