I recently purchased an EVGA GTX 780 SC in the hopes of being able to record BF4 in tandem with a fx-6300, but when I try, T max out at about 50 frames (I don't have it locked) and get major stuttering.I also am using the new Samsung 850 PRO SSD. Help?

Solution
The GPU should be fine, it is very easy to tell if this is your problem though.
Drop the detail settings in the game, if this helps then your gpu is the bottleneck.
If it doesn't help, then the gpu is not the problem.
It would be worthwhile to monitor cpu utilization with no recording vs fraps vs ShadowPlay. Look to see if any core is reaching 100%. Overall CPU usage is not valuable because a single thread running on a single core is more likely the issue.

yeah I switched to fraps because shadowplay was even worse, I suspect the gpu is bottlenecking
