I was watching tv and all of a sudden i heard a pop and i assume it came from my surge protector. But now my tv and sound bar wont work even on another outlet. The xbox and a charger are still fine but the light on my amazon basic surge protector that indicates if it is protect went out. I have my pc setup on another amazon surge protector so my questions are.... One should i get a different surge protector for my pc and 2 how can i fix my tv and sound bar.

Solution
Does the TV work without the surge protector?
Usually turning the switch off then back on resets the switch, but with as cheap as those strips are, both cost and quality, if there's any issue, toss it in the bin and replace it. Just with a quick Google, I saw a pair of cheapo strips rated at 200 joules at Amazon. 1 joule = 1W per second of flow, pretty much meaning absolutely useless for a pc at 350w+. The 790 joule would barely cover a small pc + monitor.

If the TV doesn't work without the strip, you'll either need to replace the TV or have it repaired

no the tv and soundbar don't work anywhere i plug them in and the surge protector still works but doesnt say protected anymore

i plan on getting a different one for my pc because if my setups all stops im gonna cry but do u know of anyway to fix the tv and sound bar because if not im out $600

New Tv's usually have 4-6 circuit boards inside, sometimes you get lucky and there's a fuse too. If no fuse, then it's a simple matter to replace a board if you can find one. My Panasonic TV had blink codes, you'd see the on/off light blink, and that'd tell you the issue according to the blink pattern.

the tv is about 7 years old its an LCD but the light doesnt even in blink but the soundbar is only a year old im honestly more upset about the soundbar it was a really nice one from samsung with a subwoofer

thats what I was afraid of Merry Christmas to me I guess. thanks for your help
