So I've narrowed down my research on surge protectors and im thinking of going with TRIPP LITE. I'm just unsure which model is the best.

I'm planning on plugging in my PC and 2 monitors along with a few other things like chargers.

My PC has a SeaSonic G-750W PSU is that helps.

This is the one im currently looking to buy,
First
or this

Your best bet is a UPS. Guaranteed no surge, and your computer won't shutoff with power outages of 1 second when it flashes and cause everything to reboot.

You can get a UPS now for the price of a good surge protector. Those cheap surge protectors arn't really worth it.

Tripp LIte actually has a surge supressor that shuts the flow of power when the surge protection is done. That way you know when to replace the power bar. This is great. But then you can't just use it as a power bar forever. And after 2-3 power bars purchased you could have purchased a UPS.

If you really want a surge protector the tripp lite that automatically uts power when it no longer protects is the best.

PSU is not relevant.

What do you reasonably expect to happen? Are you subject to large voltage surges or lighting strike impacts?

In reality surge protectors offer protection but the actual level of protection may be vague.

Eventually, enough hits will destroy any functionality.

You are really better off backing up your data and being ready should the surge protector fail or otherwise not "hold up".

Beyond that, any legitmate brand name product will offer some protection. But even then there are no real guarantees for end user consumers.
