I recently purchased four Dell Optiplex 760s from a surplus auction. Each of the computers still have their Windows Vista Business OEM product keys on the case. My question is if I am able to still use these product keys and run a legitimate version of windows on each system? Also, I do not have the media for the OS, just the product key (could possibly get media by asking for it). Would I need to obtain new media or is there a boot-disk available? I got these for cheap and I am trying to keep them as bargain-able (but legit) as possible.
Also, I was given a Dell re-installation DVD for Windows 7 Pro. If I am unable to utilize the Vista product key what would I need to do (if at all possible) to be able to use this media for the OS? Purchase a product key http://www.windows7professionalproductkeys.com/Windows-7-Activation-Key/Windows-7-Professional-Product-Key.html or just star over with a new os all together?
Specs (desired upgrades):
Dell Optiplex 760
Intel Core2Duo E8400 3.00 GHz
2GB PC2 6400 DDR2
(8GB G.Skil PC2 6400 DDR2 Ram)
150GB 7200RPM HDD
(SAMSUNG 840 Series 120GB SSD)
256MB ATI RADEON HD 3450
(1GB Radeon HD 6450 w/passive heat sink for movie "silence")
