Surround system with Laptop

Hello,
Sorry if there is an existing thread for this or if it's a stupid question..

I want to buy this surround sound system:

to use with my laptop. So, just using one 3.5mm input.

Is this possible and will I need any extra adaptors?

yes if ur laptop has the right outputs. but itsnot possible using one 3.5mm for surround sound, if ur laptop has optical or a usb, then you can connect it, for USB, you can get an adapter to convert USB into analogue or optical, creative external cards do this.
