SWANN Gate Alert modification

Before I buy a SWANN Gate Alert Kit:

does anyone know how hard it would be to disconnect the siren from the transmitter, as I only want the alarm to be audible at the receiver in the house?

It would require opening-up the transmitter and snipping a wire or cutting a PC Board trace. Not rocket science, but definitely something that would void a warranty.

Understandable re the warranty
If I did open it up would this be the forum to post a pic of the insides to confirm what I should do?

If the resolution and clarity of the photo is sufficient to see details, and if both sides of the board are depicted, we can certainly look at it and give opinions.

It may be simplest, though, to just de-solder the component from the PC board--it depends on the construction used.
