Swap Acer SSD to new HP Envy Laptop???

Hello all.Was wondering if some of your techie peeps can help me with swapping my current Acer SSD drive into my new HP laptop? Is that even possible? Thanks in advance for your replies!!!

You would have to clone the software off the HP disk onto the SSD before using the SSD. This would wipe out the Acer software.
